Disney Wedding Centerpiece Ideas

When it comes to Disney themed weddings, you have to sprinkle a little pixie dust throughout your venue. An easy and effective way to do this is through amazing centerpieces that leave your guests thinking, “how did she do that?!” With thrift stores, friends obsessed with Disney, and a little creativity, you don’t have to spend a fortune to make your special day seem right out of a fairytale. Make Each Table Represent a Disney Movie

It may sound like a lot of work, and it kinda is, but making each table themed with a different movie or love story is totally worth it! Guests will buzz around the whole reception and look at each centerpiece trying to figure out what they represent. At my Disney wedding, some Disney centerpieces were obvious and others were a true test of Disney fandom.

Get Eclectic With Disney Movie Props

I used everything from my daughter’s silver mirror for “Beauty and The Beast” themed table to forks stuck in candlesticks for “The Little Mermaid” Disney Table. Have fun looking at things you have at home in a new magical way to make decorating your Disney wedding more personal.

Don’t Forget Your Guestbook and Photo Table

We went with Disney’s “Up” as a running theme through our Disney wedding. It seemed obvious to make any bonus tables have a little tribute to the Grape Soda Club.

Make Sure Every Guest’s View Is Magical

It is important to note that guests sit all-around each table. It may seem obvious, but you want each guest to see a new and exciting piece of the Disney Story, not the back of it. Check out these two views of our, “Petry Pan” centerpiece to see what I mean.

Enlist The Help Of Friends and Fairy Godmothers

Pulling off the perfect Disney Wedding on a budget takes a lot of time and effort. It is important to not only ask for help but also delegate when needed. My awesome bridesmaids split up the tables (choosing their favorite movies of course) and went on hunts for buried (or borrowed) treasure. Have your most organized friend or relative make a Google Spreadsheet with each table and where its items came from. This also comes in handy so you can return borrowed items to the right people after the event!

Add The Final Disney Touches

Who doesn’t like Disney wedding favors? I found these Mickey key bottle openers on Amazon for a fairly reasonable price. They added not only a take-home gift but also added to our Hidden Mickey Scavenger hunt!
